Richard Cloudesley School ensures that child protection procedures are in place so that every child who is a registered pupil is safe and protected. Our school makes sure the pupils feel secure, are encouraged to talk and are listened to. We provide all our children with the necessary support to keep them safe and build their self-esteem and self-confidence. We endeavour to provide activities and opportunities in the curriculum that will equip our children with the skills they need to stay safe. At all times we work to establish effective working relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues from other agencies such as Health or Social Care (Children and Families within the Children and Learning Department).
The School provides a happy, secure environment in which mutual concern and respect are encouraged. Good discipline is maintained by explanation and by example. Everything the pupils do must be safe, sensible and considerate towards other people.
Within the school our Dedicated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Natalie Fry, Assistant Headteacher. Concerns about the safety of a child should be reported directly to Natalie.
