Physical Education

PE lessons are delivered through our greenhouse multi sports head coach Danielle, from Greenhouse Charity.

Richard Cloudesley is one of our programme of multisports, for young people with special educational needs (SEN), it is Greenhouse’s largest area with over 10 school-based programmes running across London. Richard Cloudesley PE lessons engage children with physical disabilities and special education offering familiar sports such as football, swimming, trampolining, athletics and dodgeball alongside rebound therapy and hydrotherapy. The wide range of activities allow young people to recognise their strengths, challenge themselves and develop skills to help them achieve their best on and off the sports field.Greenhouse coaches recognise and celebrate young people’s achievements great and small and always significant. This year young people have competed in Pantathlon challenges and wheelchair tennis.

We start the PE lessons with a warm - up. This involves passing the ball / hula hoop / following instructions / turn taking activities. During the main part of the lesson we have a full range of games such as Boccia, Table Top Cricket, Polybat, New Age Kurling Javelin, Bean Bag, Electric Wheelchair Slalom. We also have a chill-out session to practise simple stretches and breathing exercises.
